Prepare for Higher Education

Our university placement counselor will help you decide on the right college training program for you. Choose among certificate and degree programs at the California community (two-year) colleges as well as junior colleges, four-year colleges, and universities across the United States.

Applying to Colleges and Universities

The English Center counselors can help you choose and apply to an appropriate college or university. If you plan to continue your studies after the English Center, you should bring with you: " Original copies of transcripts (grades) and certified translations.

  • Letters of recommendation from former teachers and/or employers
  • Financial document or letter of support from parents or other sponsor
  • Official reports of test scores
  • Any evidence of awards or honors you have received, or publications or research you have done.
  • If applicable, a portfolio (for artists, designers, architects)

    Provisional Admission

    If you are academically qualified for a degree or certificate program but cannot yet satisfy the English language requirement, some institutions will admit you provisionally. The English Center has provisional admission agreements with
