International Applicants
If you are an international student applying from outside the United States or transferring from another school in the United States, please send the following to the address at the bottom of this page:
- A completed international application form
- An application fee of $50 (nonrefundable)
- A certified copy of your secondary school or college records, if you wish to attend a college or university in the U.S.
- A bank statement, scholarship letter, or other evidence of financial resources, if you need a student (F-1) visa
If you need an F-1 student visa, we will send you the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Form I-20 when you are accepted to the Center. You present this form at an embassy or consulate of the U.S. to obtain a student visa. Your acceptance letter will contain detailed information about applying for the visa. Note: F-1 students must study full-time.
If you wish to apply for a family homestay, you should submit a deposit of $300. You will pay the remainder of your fees at registration. See Housing Options.
If you must cancel or postpone your enrollment after receiving an I-20 form, you must return the form to ECIW in order to receive a refund of your deposit. Please note that acceptance to ECIW does not constitute admission to Mills College.
We regret that the English Center cannot offer financial aid to international (F-1 visa status) students.
